Hey everyone, this is a blog about students or people in general who just don’t SHUT UP when someone is trying to work on things. Come on people have some decency and when a teacher gives you a work period, do the DAMN work and just shut up because there are other students who are actually trying to get a good grade in the course and don’t appreciate when you talk. UGGGGH! Who else agrees with me?
Why I am saying this is because in a few of my classes (Functions, Foods and Nutrition Science, Writer’s Craft and sometimes Accounting) or maybe more than a few (lol), the teacher sometimes gives work periods and the majority of the students just keep talking and make it hard for me to focus. This is especially bad in Foods where 90% of the students are talking while I am working. Ahhh and the talking students are in this class also. What a drag! Then whenever I want students to be less talkative, and i ask them to please be quiet, they don’t listen. Then I have to go to the teacher and she has to quiet them down which I appreciate but then I’m labelled as a tattletale which so DAMN ANNOYING because it was your fault for talking so don’t call me a tattletale. This is labelled as a rant but this is what I believe and I’m not just ranting, i’m speaking what I believe.
I believe that students should be more considerate and text each other their conversations so that they don’t disturb people who are actually trying to do good in the course so here the deal: all you students who talk, JUST SHUT UP and be considerate of others. X(
I think it’s fine if people aren’t talking obnoxiously, but when it’s obnoxious, THEN it’s annoying. People just need to learn a little about respect. I know in some of my classes there are sometimes just two or three people being VERY obnoxious, and think it’s funny when all they are doing being loud and rowdy. I just ignore it then, and try to concentrate on what I am doing. They are, subconsciously, just looking for attention. If it was a normal chat, it likely wouldn’t be so loud, unless they really are obnoxious.
I agree with you on most of your points Jane, but I think that if a teacher gives a work period like say Functions, that people should be quiet and work or else the teacher might decide not to give anymore. That would be bad and I would be pissed.
As in today casim, you need to grasp the concept that peoiple were trying to get their opinions in the direction of the teacher!! they werent talking about non sense they were voicing an opnion on something that clearly as you stated 90 percent of the class had an issue with!!! like im sorry that we have other projects to do or that we also have busy lives like im sorry the time limit on things iin that class is just ridculous!

Yeah, but MOST days, students are loud so I get really annoyed but as long as they whisper or talk quietly i’m fine but if an uproar and the talking becomes loud then I’m annoyed and just want them to SHUT UP! I agree with you about the time of the project though, i’m not even done 4 steps out of the 6 and I was only able to write about 8 lines for my marketing plan today. HOW STUPID! It’s like she doesn’t expect students to have to think about they write and to just go to writing. That DOES NOT HAPPEN!! AHHHH!
If only more people would hear about this..
