Okay, i know i have not blogged in a while but i am blogging yet again. In this post, i am going to talk about cell phones.
I just got a phone for my birthday and so far i have been texting with my friends and enjoying the unlimited minutes on the weekends. I love how you are able to instantly start a conversation using Instant Messenger or by texting you can send texts in response to another text. Since i do not have a data plan and the privilege of the internet on the phone, i cannot describe the joy of internet on the phone. Having the ability to go on Facebook or Youtube would probably be nice though. Most people probably don’t have this but i get GPS or at least soon enough because i am totally addicted to GPS and the idea of it. You get to keep in contact with past friends and current ones. You also get a portable phone that if you need in an emergency, that you can have. This is all i can really think of but if you have anymore joys about cell phones, i would love to hear them. Bye
Good for you! Way to join the big group of use that have phones! I agree I love using my phone for texting
… I don’t have internet on my phone either but I do on my I pod and I find it very useful. The min. I get home from school I use it to check emails, go on facebook and twitter. I’ve even thought about getting rid of my I pod touch but since I don’t have a laptop, I really can’t see myself getting rid of it. As for the GPS I don’t have that either but hope it works for you

Yes, i hope it works well for me too because as i said, i am obsessed with texting and GPS. It requires a data plan which i am not willing to pay for. Bye
Oh and thanks for the comment. I wish i had an ipod touch. you’re lucky and what do you mean by you going to throw out your ipod touch why would you? If it has internet and stuff why would you?

I know isn’t it jess? A few weeks ago when i first got my phone, i called one of my last year and school friends and talked with her for almost an hour. i felt so happy while talking to her because i knew i had no restriction thanks to my endless minutes on weekends. I love my phone but i still haven’t got my GPS working even though i have asked my mom to call the people always for the last week. Bye

yay cell phones!
i know im a hypicrate (sp?), cells phones can be bad when you spend all night texting someone and send 4000+ plus messages a month, but what the heck! its the new thing of the future. even older couples and couples in general no longer have a phone line, and are switching to cells phones.. its just easier.
TEXT ME!

Hey Stacey, i have been texting you and thanks for the comment. I haven’t sent that many texts because i’m just a beginner but i am getting faster at it so yeah for me. lol. SOME older people are changing not all of them my dad still believes that a normal phone is better than a cell phone and that it is just a waste of time. Bye

well in a way I agree with him.
Hiding behind a cell phone to have a serious conversation is a cheap way out. Trust me I know. Lots of time simple little issues turned into full out arguments because you cant read their body language.
And people are loosing the ability to communicate.. its not good for the future!

I’m glad you’re enjoying your new cell phone. I have no cell, and won’t have one for a long time…

I have respect for those who chose not to have a cell phone, but I do like to say. Cell phones do come in handy if an accident occurs. I found out first hand on Friday with the whole mess during Feeder School. It really can saves lives. If your out in the middle of no where and something happens..what will you do?

Good thing: ts easy to make plans with friends, decide whats up for the night.. and fun if you’re bored .
Bad thing: Parents always expect me to pick up my phone and keep them posted, which is super annoying
bad thing: my ADDICTION

Hahaha Chantel. I’m not addicted because all i really do is check to see if someone texted me and then turn it off because i don’t have GPS and i still need to call them. I think they are all good because it helps me if i ever need to contact my mom so i can. Bye

Cell phones are really useful. However I saw something on Dr.Oz that was really quite scary. He was discussing how cell phones have been linked to cancer. It makes sense that the waves sent out of and into your phone would also pass through your brain causing tumors. It was just a little frightening to hear but I’m sure it won’t cause people to quit using cell phones, I know I won’t.

I agree that cell phones are awesome, it is just a little scary that these great tools possibly have some harsh consequences
